Baby Massage

What is it?

At Glow Yoga Maastricht we offer a unique experience of baby massage. Your tiny precious miracle will be massaged in a professional and gentle way while you stay nearby and learn the techniques which you can later apply at home. Baby massage has been proven to calm emotions, promote feeling of safety, reduce stress hormones and stimulate endorphin production. It soothes and relaxes the baby's nervous system. Massaging your baby regularly helps to reduce stomach cramping and promotes better sleep. It is beneficial for baby's immune system and healthy growth. PRACTICAL INFORMATION: The massage takes approximately 30 minutes, including preparation and dressing. The way each baby responds to a massage is very individual and can be a combination of many factors. For the first ever massage the total time can be shorter to allow the baby to get used to the physical touch of the therapist. It is possible to extend the treatment with a warm tummy tub. If desired, please leave a comment. Extra costs: € 15,-. WHAT TO TAKE WITH YOU? A large towel or hydrophilic cloth to lay your baby on. A clean diaper and cleaning wipes. A bottle with formula or breast milk (babies often feel hungry after massage). If desired - a spare change of clothes. When dressing your baby, choose for clothes that are easy to take off and put back on, so not to distress the baby after the massage. GOOD TO KNOW: The best age for a baby to receive a massage is from 6 weeks to 9 months old. A baby may not be massaged when it has a fever, within 24 hours after vaccination, in case of an acute infection, swollen lymph nodes or excessive spitting up. Cancellation Policy

If you are not able to attend the appointment you can cancel or reschedule it free of charge via your account up to 24 hours before the scheduled time. For later cancellation please contact us as soon as you can. In case of no show we are obliged to charge the full amount of the treatment.
